With Mother’s Day right around the corner, it’s time for you to shower your mum with love and affection. A mother plays the most important role of your family as she nurtures every member to their fullest potential. She wants nothing more than to see her children happy and she’s always just a call away. It’s up to you to make her feel special so here’s a rundown of five wonderful ways to celebrate Mother’s Day.
Before you jump out of bed: visualize your whole day, visualize everything you have planned for the day and how you want it to turn out and express gratitude as if everything you wanted has already happened exactly the way you wanted it
Make your bed immediately after you jump out of it and don’t even go near your bed until its bed time again
Start your day with every day with this: squeeze a full-sized juicy lemon into a tall glass of hot water and drink slowly first thing in the morning
Follow this up a vigorous walk around the block or in your garden and some yoga
Come back home and let your body cool down while you simply sit and watch your breath – observe your own inhalation and exhalation as if it’s the most wonderful thing in the world – do this for at least 15 minutes
Have a notebook and pen ready and as soon as you are done with the breath watching exercise, write down whatever comes to your mind for 5 minutes – do not pause to think or rationalize – just write; simply shut the book after you are done and head to the shower
Take a shower – Hot or Cold is your choice. If you feel up to it however, try taking a cold shower or at least ending your shower with some cold water. Cold showers are known to invigorate your body, enhance blood circulation, boost immunity and really wake you up!
Drink warm or hot water throughout the day
As soon as you come back home from work get out of your clothes and take a shower again
Put your phone on the airplane mode and put it out of sight for sometime
Finish your dinner before sunset
Go for a walk with your spouse and pet (if you have one)
Come back home, sit in a comfortable position and watch your breath again for 15 minutes
Immediately follow up with the writing exercise for 5 minutes
Close your day with a tall glass of hot water with a lemon squeezed in
